Hamburger Helper... Makes a Great Meal
As a young'n one of my favorite dinners was Hamburger Helper's Cheeseburger Macaroni! As an adult, Dan and I made it, and wow, totally gross. Super greasy and it sat in our stomachs for hours. Blehhh. This is my vegan version of "Cheeseburger Macaroni," granted I used fettucine noodles instead of macaroni (next time I will make sure to use Mac) but I am sure any Pasta would've worked just fine.
Simply:
- 1 cup of Dragonfly's Bulk Uncheese Mix (prepared) http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=7126.0
- 1/2 white onion (or more) chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced2 tbsp olive oilCrumbled or chopped or sliced Seitan (I used 1 of the 6 chunks made according to the VwaV recipe) http://www.theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/index.php?RecipeID=112
- 1 package pasta of your choice (cooked)Directions:Sautee Seitan, Onions & Garlic in olive oil, until browned.
